Rental Terms & Conditions
RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
By renting from Westward Collective (“WC”), you acknowledge that you are renting a garment for a limited period of time and that ownership of the garment remains solely with Westward Collective at all times. By completing your booking and/or placing an order through our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. BOOKINGS
Bookings may be made through our website, Instagram direct message, phone, or any approved Westward Collective booking platform.
A booking is not considered confirmed until payment has been received.
The rental period begins on the agreed rental start date once payment has been completed.
2. GARMENT DETAILS
Each rental order will include the following:
- Garment name and description
- Rental period
- Return date
- Rental fee
- Applicable security deposit (if required)
- Retail replacement value of the garment
These details will be outlined in your order confirmation.
3. RENTAL FEES & SECURITY DEPOSITS
All rental fees must be paid in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed upon by Westward Collective.
Security deposits, where applicable, may be refunded upon return of the garment in acceptable condition and in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
By placing an order, you authorize Westward Collective to charge your payment method for:
- Late fees
- Cleaning fees
- Repair costs
- Replacement costs for lost or irreparably damaged garments
4. GARMENT CONDITION
All garments are inspected, photographed, and quality-checked prior to release.
By accepting delivery or pickup of the garment, you acknowledge that it has been received in good condition unless otherwise reported to Westward Collective within 24 hours of receipt.
You are responsible for any loss, theft, excessive staining, damage, or unauthorized alterations that occur during the rental period.
5. CARE & USE OF GARMENTS
Westward Collective takes pride in maintaining our garments to the highest standard. You agree to treat all garments with care and to use them only for their intended purpose.
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Altering or tailoring garments
- Cutting fabric or removing tags
- Attempting repairs
- Washing or dry cleaning garments independently
Please use caution around:
- Self-tanner or spray tans
- Makeup and skincare products
- Perfumes and body oils
- Food, drinks, cigarette or cannabis smoke, and campfires
- Sharp jewelry or accessories that may snag fabric
6. WEAR & TEAR PROTECTION
Westward Collective offers optional Wear & Tear Protection for $5 per rental.
This protection covers minor accidental damage that is reasonably repairable, including:
- Minor stains
- Small rips or tears
- Missing sequins or beads
- Broken zippers, buttons, or clasps
If Wear & Tear Protection is purchased, you will not be charged for covered minor repairs.
Wear & Tear Protection does NOT cover:
- Loss or theft of the garment
- Irreparable damage
- Major staining or fabric damage
- Unauthorized alterations
- Damage caused by negligence or misuse
If a garment is returned in an irreparable condition or is not returned, you agree to pay the full retail value of the garment in addition to any rental fees already paid.
7. RETURNS & LATE FEES
Garments must be returned by the agreed Return Date outlined in your booking confirmation.
Failure to return a garment on time will result in a late fee of $25 per day until the garment has been returned.
If a garment is not returned within a reasonable timeframe, Westward Collective reserves the right to charge the full retail value of the garment to the payment method on file.
8. CLEANING
Standard professional dry cleaning is included in the rental fee.
Please do not wash, dry clean, steam, or attempt to clean the garment yourself.
If excessive or specialty cleaning is required due to staining, odors, smoke exposure, pet hair, or other avoidable damage, additional cleaning charges may apply.
9. LIABILITY
You assume full responsibility for the garment during the rental period.
Westward Collective is not responsible for:
- Injuries sustained while wearing the garment
- Allergic reactions or skin sensitivities
- Damages resulting from garment use
- Fit, sizing, or comfort issues once the garment has been worn
10. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Rental payments and deposits are non-refundable once a booking has been confirmed.
Refunds or store credits may only be issued at the sole discretion of Westward Collective in circumstances where we are unable to fulfill the rental due to unforeseen circumstances.
11. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Westward Collective, its owners, employees, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from the use of rented garments.
12. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia.
By placing an order with Westward Collective, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions and accept responsibility for the rented garment during the rental period.
